Google’s Android One Launched In The Philippines

Google Philippines has announced that Android One is now in the Philippines. Android One is a line of Android-powered smartphones created and designed by Google itself but with a badge of a local brand. Specs and software updates are handled by Google.

The company partnered with two biggest local brand names in the country – Cherry Mobile and MyPhone.  And now, here are the two first Android One smartphones – the Cherry Mobile One and MyPhone Uno.

Cherry Mobile One:

  • 1.3GHz Quad Core Mediatek MT6582m processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal storage expandable via MicroSD up to 32GB
  • 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS LCD display (854 x 480 pixels)
  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • 5 megapixel rear facing camera with flash
  • 2 megapixel front facing camera
  • HSPA+, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth
  • GPS, A-GPS
  • 1,700 mAh battery
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop (gets the new version soon after it’s released)
