FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The Gionee ELife E7 Mini does not look like a mini version of the ELife E7 when it comes to design. It looks a lot like its main rival – the Oppo N1 Mini. Both phones have rotating cameras. Gionee has been known for making good built quality smartphone and same trend remains with the ELife E7 Mini. We actually don’t like gadgets with moving parts especially being used occasionally because it will detach in time. We will keep in touch with a good friend who bought one and ask her how was it after a year

When it comes to performance, it is absolutely fast and fluid. That’s what you’ll expect from its 1.4GHz Octa Core processor. Looking at the specs sheet, we were kinda disappointed when Gionee opted a TFT display instead of an IPS panel. But when actually looking at the display with our own eyes, it doesn’t look like a TFT panel. The display is sharp, bright and with very lively colors. And then we found out, the display is made by Sharp’s IGZO TFT display. Now we know why it is so gorgeous. Sharp also supplies alongside with LG display panels for Apple’s iPhone and iPads.

When we reviewed the Gionee ELife E6 last year, we are impressed with its camera quality. Same thing with the ELife E7 Mini. Unfortunately, we were not able to transfer sample photos we’ve taken from the demo unit we played with.

The Gionee ELife E7 Mini is currently on sale (as of this writing). It is only P12,490 from its original price of P13,990. Promo is until November 30, 2014.
