Cloudfone was kind enough to lend us a review unit of the Cloudpad 800W, the first tablet from a local brand powered by Intel’s Atom processor. Now, we’re really excited. Its common knowledge that Intel remains to be top notch when it comes to making chipsets. Before we go on with the unboxing, here’s a quick refresher of specs.

Initial Impressions:

Just like the Kata Fishtab 3 and Starmobile Engage 8 Quad we’ve previously reviewed, this is another Apple iPad Mini lookalike. From the design, curves, and metal chassis, you’ll probably can fool anyone that you are holding an iPad. But there are few noticeable differences though.  It doesn’t have a physical home button and all other physical buttons are found on the left side of the device.  So far build quality is excellent but we think the device is vulnerable to minor scratches.

Overall, we give the hardware two thumbs up!

We will be testing everything from its performance, display quality,  battery, WiFi and gaming on our full review. It will be up in a few days!
