DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY:

We notice that smartphones from MyPhone have the same design. Like the MyPhone Agua Cyclone that we have here, we can’t the ignore that the phone looks a lot like the MyPhone A919i. The phone is extremely light and has some hollow feel to it.  Despite that, the MyPhone Agua Cyclone remains solid which is MyPhone’s best selling point. We do wonder why MyPhone opted for a small logo at the bottom of the phone.

DISPLAY:

The phone sports a qHD (960 x 540) resolution. It is bright, vivid and produces accurate colors. But the low resolution is evident when compared to Kata i3’s display. The screen is bright and vivid indoors but it kinda struggle outdoors.

SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE:

Packing a 1.3GHz quad core Mediatek MT6582M processor and on day to day use it is very fluid and fast. We rarely experience lags even on playing graphic intense games like Dead Trigger 2. The scored 17,271 on Antutu Bechmark and that is impressive! We do love what MyPhone did to the phone’s lockscreen. Easy access to email, camera apps, social networks, Google search and silent mode are all found on the lock screen.

CAMERA:

We are quite impressed with the 8 megapixel camera. The camera is very snappy and autofocus does not take too much time to work. It takes really good pictures on good lighting. It does lack BSI but thanks to its flash, photos still look good in dark situations. Here are sample photos below.

INTERNET AND CONNECTIVTY:

Its a joy to use this phone  for calls and texts. We had no trouble getting 3G or 2G reception for Sun, Smart and Globe. HSPA+ connection is also good. WiFi reception is good too.  On the picture below, we used our Globe SIM to test the internet and our location is in Pasig.

BATTERY:

Battery is average. On our heavy usage, the phone got 7 hours before it reached 10%.  We recorded about 11 hours of moderate usage

VERDICT:

We recommend this phone to people who are moderate or light users and those who are looking for a phone with simple and no frills design.
