When Samsung released the Galaxy Round, the smartphone with a curved 5.7-inch screen, I know it won’t be long for LG to release a smartphone with the same curved display. Barely 3 weeks after the unveiling of the Galaxy Round, LG announced the LG G Flex. If the Galaxy Round has a horizontally curved display, the G Flex goes with a vertical curved display. The device looks like the LG G2 with a larger 6-inch 720p OLED display and sports the same 2.25GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. One notable feature of this device is the “self healing” capabilities of the phone. Its like a film that “heals” minor scratches in matter of minutes.
LG G Flex partial specs:
- 2.26GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB internal memory, expandable via MicroSD
- 6-inch curved 720p OLED display
- 13 megapixel front facing camera
- 3,500 mAh battery
- Android 4.2.2 Jellybean
Just like the Samsung Galaxy Round, the LG G Flex will initially be available only in South Korea, LG and Samsung’s home country. No word from LG if they will release this internationally.
